Impressive and important pair of large bronze lion andirons. The lion on the top holds a scroll with a shield and below that are two small human figurers holding a bunch of grapes. Below that is an animal head or mask with small horns. All of this intricate bronze work rests upon two winged animal heads with paw feet and a large protruding tongue.
