Black granite top, Louis Phillipe walnut commode, with four drawers and brass hardware. Louis Phillipe period was from 1830-1848. This commode has the simple design features of that period except for the brass handles and escutchens which were never on these chests as a key was used to open and close the drawers. This commode is a fine copy around 1900. Granite top is a replacement.
