C.1840 large English Bow front mahogany chest. Four sliding shelves for storage in center bottom, and two drawers. Scalloped front edge, and brass pulls and key escutcheons. Burl wood accents and trim. Unusual to have this combination of large size, bow front shape and interior pull out drawers for storage of linens or clothing, probably for a gentleman of means.
